The University Avenue Church of Christ wanted to create a special place for their teens to gather for worship and fellowship. Their existing space was covered in generic acoustic ceiling tile, tired carpet, and wallboard. Exploration of the early 20th century structure revealed a wonderful palette of structural clay tile, cast in place concrete, and the opportunity to lift the ceiling by eliminating most of the attic space. The interior remodel exceeded expectations—the space is so nice that it is used by far more than just the youth in the congregation.
