Across the street from TwentyOne24, Este is among the front ranks of a growing list of hip, mixed use projects in East Austin. Este combines ground floor, pedestrian-friendly commercial space—located along Sixth Street—with three levels of residential lofts above. The structure is all steel with concrete tilt-wall and a recycled brick veneer from Chicago. Este, Spanish for east, replaces the former East End Lumber Co. and provides 67 condominiums along with a restaurant on the ground floor, revitalizing an area that has long been forgotten.
